On 2 October 2024, the Seniors4Change project hosted its 2nd Transnational Project Meeting in Graz, Austria. Hosted by BIT Management, the meeting was an opportunity for all partners to review the progress made so far, discuss future tasks, and make critical decisions regarding the next phases of the project. One of the key discussions was centred on the interim report, which has been positively received by the French National Agency, with confirmation of changes to the project’s timeline.
The team also finalised plans for one of the key project activities, i.e. the Train-the-trainers event (LTTA) scheduled for November in Athens. During this event, two staff members and one senior from each partner organisation will participate in sessions covering sustainable DIY practices and social media engagement. The sessions will include practical workshops, such as creating videos on smartphones and developing business ideas using the Business Canva model. Partners reported that the training manual (WP3) pilot sessions are nearly complete, with final reports being uploaded and reviewed. The feedback has been predominantly positive, though some recommendations for improvement, such as language accessibility and practical exercises, have been suggested. Looking ahead, WP4 will focus on organizing training sessions for seniors, with each partner delivering at least three sessions in their respective countries. These sessions will guide seniors in producing DIY videos, which will become key project outputs. The structure of these training sessions has been mapped out, with an emphasis on storytelling, editing, and video publication.
Partners are looking forward to the next in-person meeting, which will be held during the LTTA event in Athens, which will be held in the period 11-13 November!
